<Werner> Started writing a documentation for all the irc stuff
<IgorPec> ok, where would be best location of it?
<IgorPec> under the docs or elsewhere?
<Werner> I forked the armbian docs and will put it there
<IgorPec> ok
<Werner> Still WIP but if you have any suggestion just shoot.
<IgorPec> i would move out "as announced eairlier in the forums". Its better to copy/paste that enitre post or link it different way
<Werner> I don't think it is important to highlight the link especially since everything there will be covered in the docs. It is just a nice to have.
<Werner> But yeah, as it is now it looks a bit weird
<IgorPec> yeah, just time relation is strange

<HerculeP> Werner: simple typo: "It is common habit to simply stated your question" -> state
<HerculeP> (in irc.md)
<plntyk> also afaik : "It is _a_ common habit" (it's a habit)
<Werner> Thx
<Werner> Fixed

<Werner> Aight I think I covered the most important stuff plus the commands.
<IgorPec> $scheduler list
<ArmbianTwitter> IgorPec: twitter: "echo [tweety twitter --new armbian]"
<Werner> In the docs. That one would be an undocumented command as it is not useful for users.
<lanefu> Werner: if you're curious about jenkins i'd be glad to give you access and show you a few things

<IgorPec> lanefu: well. best thing is to have this jenkins backuped
<IgorPec> but dunno if that is simple to make?
<Werner> lanefu, maybe another time. The only thing that might have been interesting if Jenkins offers an API that can be taped via Python but since the most interesting messages are already pushed through via Github I will concentrate no other stuff for now :)

<lanefu> IgorPec: so the master isn't really HA-friendly.. other than shared fielsystem and active-passive... and i'm actually doing that at home.. the master/web will fire up on any free node i have
<lanefu> so by having more slaves we improve things
<lanefu> ...and obvisouly i still need to kind of harden the front-end uptime
<lanefu> but we can move the jenkins master elsewhere if you want
<lanefu> Werner: yeah jenkins has a REST API so it makes it pretty easy to trigger jobs with payloads etc
<lanefu> it's sitll horrible and complicated
<lanefu> Ohhh! i did read you can have your own runners for github actions
<lanefu> which may be something to explore
<Werner> Not really. It is just a listener that catches pushes via webhook
<Werner> Btw. feel free to take a look and tell me anything that could be improved https://github.com/EvilOlaf/documentation/blob/irc/docs/irc.md

<lanefu> Werner: doc looks great.. didn't see anything that stood out... lets get it merged.. easy to tweak later
<lanefu> also like the icons
<Werner> Aight, released for merge.

<lanefu> r9: not sure we need sphinx.. we have our mkdocs-based documentation site.. I just added a Community section to it for Werner's irc doc. we could add your moderator docs into the community section as well
<Werner> Seems like the icons do not work within armbian documentation...
<lanefu> yeah looks like we'll need a mkdocs plugin to support it
<lanefu> alternatively you could add the images and do it htat way
<lanefu> shortest path is probably just stripping them out for now
<Werner> Or add them as unicode rather than markdown
<Werner> Check PR
<r9> lanefu: thanks for the hint. In this case I'm going to use markdown for my docs and will try to set everything up so it'll fit into the Armbian docs. I'll let you know when I'm ready to show you the first results.
<lanefu> Cool.. yeah just submit a PR https://github.com/armbian/documentation
<r9> Roger!

<Werner> Ha. Nice. That worked. Icons are there
<lanefu> sweet! nice hack
antenagora has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<Werner> Oh boy. The services section is also not properly formatted
<Werner> This mkdocs thingy seems buggy
<lanefu> it's pretty tried and true
<Werner> Maybe it cannot handle sub-sub-subsections
drobo_00 has quit [Quit: drobo_00]
<lanefu> subsections or subbullets?
<r9> The readthedocs project points out that MkDocs is much simpler then sphinx. So maybe it's more a feature of simplicity then a bug...? https://docs.readthedocs.io/en/stable/intro/getting-started-with-mkdocs.html
<Werner> As long as we know how to deal with it... lanefu I made a new PR for the mess

<flammert> Hi guys
<flammert> I just downloaded armbian buster-server for the nanopi m4, and i wanted to verify with the sha, but that sha seems to be for the previous version
<flammert> Sha: "Armbian_20.05.1_Nanopim4_buster_legacy_4.4.213.img.xz"
<flammert> IMG: "Armbian_20.05.2_Nanopim4_buster_legacy_4.4.213.img"
<IgorPec> sha is for the compressed file
<flammert> so the shae is for 20.05.1 but the image is 20.05.2
<IgorPec> that is alright
<flammert> hmm, it tried both, the .img and .img.xz
<flammert> It should be the SHA-256 right?
<flammert> I downloaded the image twice ( to be sure) and im getting the exact same hash. So im pretty sure the download is correct
<flammert> side note: for me its the first time ever checking the sha, so its likely that it is a user problem

<ashthespy> I'm looking at rockchip64_common(https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/config/sources/families/include/rockchip64_common.inc) and then based on this https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/master/config/sources/families/rockchip64.conf#L3 Have placed my u-boot patch into `u-boot-rockchip-mainline`...
<ashthespy> ah nvm, does `EXIT_PATCHING_ERROR=yes` not work anymore?
