I have a freshly-installed 21.02.1 on a nanopim4, with kernel 5.10.12 running, but armbian-config only shows me 5.8.x and 5.9.x kernel sources to download, what's wrong ?
<Werner>
tried searching manually for them? apt-cache search linux-source....
<yann>
right, it's there - but then whys isn't it shown in armbian-config ?
<Werner>
no idea
<yann>
ok, thx anyway :)
<yann>
it's nice seeing it unpack with a minimal git tree, but I'm surprised to see the patches applied without any git or quilt tracking, am I overlooking something ?
<yann>
I realize I had a look at advanced_patch/process_patch_file yesterday, so I should not feel so surprised :D
<yann>
what I mean is that using "git am" to apply patches results in a git history, where it is easy to see where a given change comes from, as opposed to having all paches appear as unstructured local modifications
<yann>
it makes it easier to just fetch the right collection of patches
<yann>
I mean, advanced_patch seems to do some filtering on the list of patches, depending on target/board, so possibly not all the patches in rockchip64-current are applied, so I'll have to go trial-and-error to make sure I'm taking all the correct patches
<yann>
is there a simple way to run the "unpack kernel source and patches" step only ? that compile.sh script does so many things :/

yann: patch handling is not on that advanced level, nor we store history withing kernel source package.
<IgorPec>
to goal is to have some control over the patches and apply them in predicted order. nothing more than that

@makingislands (Francis Theodore Catte): step 1: find a working microSD card step 1a: that one's bad-- write 'BAD' on it in sharpie. step 1b: this one's bad too. FUCK! step 1c: remember I have a brand new 16GB card still in the packaging next to my 3D printer. step 2: flash an Armbian Buster minimal image https://tinyurl.com/y6ell24w (22s ago)

today tried 'barrier' in order to share keyboard and mouse betweene hardware machines.
<nekomancer[m]>
isn't barrier term from disk block protocol?
