So it works decent. The default shipped kernel config is lacking lots of features, especially cryptographics but it is enough to build armbian

So I managed to get UART working to debug my lime2 board. I first tried on a functioning lime2 board where I can see the output from u-boot and it finishes at loading the kernel.

However, with the non-functional lime2 board I get absolutely nothing over UART. Just a blank screen and the same flashing red power led. I think something with the power is broken on the board, and it's not going further in the initialization.

If you do not get any output but have a known to work sd card which is good on a another board...well it might be toast.
