<IgorPec> tony: we have some reboot problem in 5.7, right?
<IgorPec> my n2 sometimes just powersoff when rebooting
<Tonymac32> on le potato yes, but I will need to double-check that the UHS mode is disabled for that board. The N2 I am not sure

<lanefu> IgorPec: when are you heading off for holiday?
<IgorPec> lanefu: Friday
<IgorPec> Werner: wireguard breaks at 5.7.y ?
<Werner> No idea, why?
<IgorPec> wg is a part of the kernel from 5.6. i think
<Werner> Yes it got mainlained then
<IgorPec> "<Werner> WIREGUARD=no flag for sunxi current breaks kernel compilation. Probably because WIREGUARD is still set in the kernel config"
<IgorPec> aha, current. didn't notice :)
<Werner> Yeah current ;)
<Werner> Even though it is a bug I think it is not worth to spend time on since almost nobody probably using the wireguard switch anyways and current will be moved to legacy anyways.
<Werner> And it is no big deal to disable wireguard in menuconfig to fix compilation
<IgorPec> let me do a quick check
<IgorPec> aha, the problem is that megous also have wireguard
<IgorPec> which is apparently broken
<IgorPec> this only breaks at sunxi 5.4.y ... will leave as is
<Werner> Odd. Because our wireguard patches apply flawless over megi's sources
<IgorPec> they are copied over
<IgorPec> its a broot force :)
<IgorPec> we could simply disable this switch
<IgorPec> and leave wg on by default
<Werner> It will become obsolete soon anyways
<IgorPec> yes, it only covers old kernels
<IgorPec> which are in the dead row anyway
<lanefu> wow.. so the write speeds on the larger SD cards is soo much better
<lanefu> like 64gig evo select vs 32gig. is 3 times faster
<lanefu> i usually just buy like 16 or 32 gig ones cuz i dont need the space

<IgorPec> i couldn't find cheaper than 9.7 on amazon.de
<Werner> Sometimes local hardware stores like mediamarkt and saturn have decent deals on
<IgorPec> true. i go to phy stores not very often :)
<nekomancer[m]> don't you looking for "A1"?
<Werner> Me neighter. I just frequently check websites that public deals :P
<IgorPec> they are a1
<Werner> Exactly those
<nekomancer[m]> €9.69 + €7.01 shipping
<nekomancer[m]> Pff!!! Aliexpress cheaper.
<nekomancer[m]> shipping cost too much
<Werner> The issue with aliexpress is that you never know if you get genuine products :P
<IgorPec> for EU this is still very good price - i always buy bulk
<IgorPec> and shipping stays
<Werner> Yeah....but I am parsimonious ^^
<nekomancer[m]> does it mean 10 items will be 96.9+7€?
<nekomancer[m]> <Werner "The issue with aliexpress is tha"> does it means on amazon you know?
<lanefu> xwigg: dumping after resize?
<nekomancer[m]> dumping with dd for all size, FS-agnostic
<Werner> You don't but on amazon it is way easier to get a replacement, especially if the vendor is european or the stuff comes from amazon directly.
<Werner> Try to claim a fake product from a chinese vendor lol
<nekomancer[m]> on aliexpres it's easy to get money back. I did it some time. One real problem with aliexpress — it takes much time.
* nekomancer[m] live in Latvia and newer get any parcel faster than 1 week.
<Werner> I still won't buy stuff from offshore if it is either expensive or a decent chance to get a counterfeit since you can get even more trouble when custom authorities ask...
<nekomancer[m]> for ali I still newer have customs asks... for a while.
<nekomancer[m]> but with other shops, like omeridroid, pine etc — always.
<xwigg> here below 15E is tax-free. shipping time is very slow lately
<IgorPec> no, 5 is order limit :(
<Werner> Below 22E is tax free but from a practical point of view the threshold is somewhere around 27E since taxes below 5E do not have to be paid.
<Werner> IgorPec, my limit is 16 ^^
<IgorPec> so just to slovenia?
<IgorPec> strange
<Werner> Dont know. Let me try to add a random slovenian address
<Werner> Limit is still 16. Shipping is 5,28E
<IgorPec> i can order the same to my secret address in germany
<Werner> Lol they became more expensive when shipping to slo
<Werner> the price is now 10,19
<IgorPec> yeah.
<nekomancer[m]> <Werner "Try to claim a fake product from"> I did it 2 times already on aliexpress. Just get my money back. No mess with send back and payments for return.

<martinayotte> xwigg: H3 random MAC, possible ... Which board ?
<martinayotte> IgorPec: you have an Micro-A20 ? Good ! Then, we can be two devs chasing that animal ... Probably a PMIC issue, but diff between 5.6.y and 5.7.y didn't reveal any things yet ...
<xwigg> martinayotte; zeropi bpi m2 zero. did a tree diff for DTS but not much.. compiling trunk to see effect
<martinayotte> xwigg: check if you have ethernet aliases for those board in u-boot dts and/or dtsi (usually aliases are in dts since not all boards have the same interfaces)
<martinayotte> For example, OPiOne has that alias : ethernet0 = "/soc/ethernet@1c30000";
<martinayotte> Another example, OPiLite has that one : ethernet0 = "/soc/mmc@1c10000/sdio_wifi@1";
<xwigg> seems to be renamed to ethernet0 = &emac for at least opi2
<martinayotte> "&emac" should be a synonym of a specific interface. So, it should be good ...
<xwigg> yeah, but missing in zeropi dts, and grep yields less sun8i dts's than available..
<xwigg> will add to zeropi dts and compile it.
<martinayotte> Missing in sun8i-h3-zeropi.dts, right ! if you create a patch, and succeed to test it, please submit a PR to Armbian GitHub ...

<xwigg> mm. how do you compile it in arch/boot/dts ?
<martinayotte> Armbian build script using "compile.sh", then choose u-boot/kernel option.
<xwigg> ah, was hoping for some dtc-fu
<martinayotte> BTW, the folder is arch/arm/dts in u-boot ...
<xwigg> ok, compile will take some time..
<martinayotte> if you've already built before, it should be quick, since "ccache" remember old builds, and since you choose "u-boot/kernel only" option, it won't do any image. Even if build isn't finished, u-boot will be already packaged in output/debs/linux-u-boot-dev-zeropi_20.08.0-trunk_armhf.deb and ready to be copied and installed.

<martinayotte> xwigg: what do you mean by "u-boot dtb didnot work" ... you install new u-boot with dpkg, but did you do "dd" to copy it into /dev/mmcblk0 ?
<martinayotte> I mean, installing dpkg, only bring files into /usr/lib/linux-u-boot-dev-zeropi_20.08.0-trunk_armhf/, but then thoses files needs to be written manually using "dd"
