@lanefu do you have RK3328 device?
<Tony_mac32>
I just caught up on some kernel mailing list stuff, apparently the codec driver on RK3328 is directly poking a GPIO used to control SD card voltage on some boards (Rock64)
<Tony_mac32>
@IgorPec I'll patch this in and we'll need a new "Current" image
<Tony_mac32>
MY SD cards must be wayyyy too nice, they didn't have any issues

perks up
<archetech>
I dont beleive he does Tony_mac32
<archetech>
I can build an image if ya want
<Tony_mac32>
I'm building one now, getting this patch "downgraded" to 5.4 ;)
<Tony_mac32>
once it looks clean and I have tested/committed I'll let you know
<archetech>
ok
<Tony_mac32>
I played youtube videos for a good hour without incident before, but I get good cards that might be able to shrug off voltage fluctuation.
<archetech>
got a link to the maillist info on it?
<archetech>
found it
<Tony_mac32>
srry, walked away while it was building
<archetech>
np
<Tony_mac32>
Using this power board reminds me I need to do some design changes to it and maybe sell them on Tindie or something
<Tony_mac32>
just the PCB, let people break their own stuff
<archetech>
I saw it nice work
<Tony_mac32>
thanks. Needs a power switch, and the buck converter put on the bottom
<Tony_mac32>
keep the greasy fingers away
<Tony_mac32>
well it boots, good start
<archetech>
thats a v2 u got?
<archetech>
seems this regulaor issue isnt why v2 wont boot
DaRock has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds]
<Tony_mac32>
yeah that isn't surprising, you were having that issue before we turned on the codec driver
<archetech>
yup
<archetech>
first tried 5.4 a month ago

<c0rnelius>
been wondering when this would come up. in my experience on the Renegade it was when I installed pulseaudio that the sdcard would start go get read/write errors on boot.

Glowing bear says it will notify you but I'm not seeing it.
<TRS-80>
I decided on that one because it gives much more fine grained control than others I looked at. But there are several notification scripts. I did not do an exhaustive search, this was only maybe the second one I tried, seemed to work and do what I want, so I stopped looking. ;)

lanefu: IgorPec: Is there a way to block posting of certain keywords? Because I don't see such functionality at Mod permission level. Discussion here: https://forum.armbian.com/modcp/reports/85/
<IgorPec>
probably it is, but we haven't use this function
<IgorPec>
i can check this later
<TRS-80>
Perhaps best to continue discussion at link whenever you guys have time. Thanks.
<TRS-80>
(as others are also involved who do not frequent IRC)
<IgorPec>
ok
<TRS-80>
I been trying to not bug you guys as much as possible, but remember if you see Flag under Reported Content, it means someone is looking for guidance from higher up :)

You can set up rules that will trigger automatic content moderation. For example, you could create a rule that hides content when it receives 3 or more reports. If a member meets the criteria for more than one rule, the last shown in the list will be used. For example, if you have a rule to hide content for an author with 10 posts, and another with 100 posts, you should make sure the 100 post rule is below the 10 post rule in this list.
<IgorPec>
Automatic moderation is currently disabled. Enable now.

Evening, ashthespy
<TRS-80>
IgorPec: Did you mean you enabled it already? If so I don't see anything yet (maybe you are still working on).
<ashthespy>
lanefu I had a question about the CI - is it possible to trigger builds using commit messages or something?
<ashthespy>
hi TRS-80
<lanefu>
ashthespy: totally
<ashthespy>
Is the aim to build images as well with the CI? Or only debs?
<lanefu>
Starting with debs
<lanefu>
Work our way up
<ashthespy>
neat!
<ashthespy>
Any reason why you don't use Travis/CircleCI/GithubActions?
<lanefu>
Personally i prefer gitlab ci
<lanefu>
Chose jenkins because igor mentioned it, i have to deal with it in my day job, and lots of plugins
<lanefu>
most of my uses are compute so no wifi is generally fine
<lanefu>
i stuck a bluetooth dongle in my N2 just so i could play sound on my stereo
<lanefu>
archetech: yeah good approach.. i usually let me friends to the homework and buy what htey say for stuff
<lanefu>
except sbcs
<lanefu>
lol
<lanefu>
all started when i bought an orangepione from amazon and it came the same day

armbian is advertised as a build system, I want to check, is the idea that once installed, armbian can pull and run packages from regular debian repositories? or will there be some compatibility issues there?

anenigma: armbian builds SBC optimized debian and ubuntu imagse
<lanefu>
so yes whatever package in the repos for the respective distro will work
<anenigma>
lanefu: Cool, thanks :) Will check it out on the weekend :)
