I have been trying to figure out why the touchkey lights on i9100 flash twice... ie. touch screen, lights come on... go off after timeout... then about 4 or 5 seconds later... come back on

anyway... after some messing around looking at the cypress-touchkey.c... and turning on kernel debug... I noticed that it doesn't do it when lockscreen is active... lights only come on once...

and noted in t debug, that when lockscreen is active... only touchscreen_report_state() is called... whereas, when unlocked... touchscreen_report_state() AND touchkey_led_control() are called...

and they both turn on the lights... and start playing with timers etc...

so as a test... I modified touchkey_led_control() and removed the call that turns the lights on... (ie... commented out line: ret = i2c_touchkey_write(tkey_i2c->client, (u8 *) &data, 1);)

HOWEVER... now my WiFi is broken??!? "if I undo my change and recompile... WiFi works...

are u using ICS bootloaders ? according to him u should be .. easiest way is flash with ICS frist (odin method) then follow as per (First time installing CyanogenMod 10 to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:) That is what I did.

I am not an advanced used.. not sure what Signature failure means... But mostly just follow every instruction of these folks to the last word :-)

when you are in MHL, the screen orientation is always landscape iirc, if you use portrait app you will have side bar cause usually you can't rotate a tv xD

OK, I am itching to upgrade from i9100 20130217 (I don't know why, but I am) but don't want to run in to the corrupted EFS issue. The phone is soft unlocked (GalaxSim Unlock), so I think I at risk. Is there a known workaround to getting around the issue. Can I un-unlock? Can I backup /EFS and if so how and how to restore it? Or should I just leave sleeping dogs lay and count myself lucky? Are there other Sam-vices affected
