<DigitalMan1983_> hi everyone, I'm following up on an issue I was having the other day, got some feedback on some things to try and finally got around to it. just to recap, using the current build tools, I had a "scripts/Makefile.build:280: recipe for target 'drivers/usb/core/driver.o' failed" error during the kernel build process. Additionally, [ warn ] * [l][c] patch-5.8.5-6.patch [ failed ] was displayed
<DigitalMan1983_> while processing the patch files.
<DigitalMan1983_> A look at compilation.log revealed drivers/usb/core/driver.c:937:13: error: redefinition of ‘is_dev_usb_generic_driver’ as well as 937 | static bool is_dev_usb_generic_driver(struct device *dev) and a grep is_dev_usb_generic_driver identified kernel/sunxi-current/patch-5.8.5-6.patch.
<DigitalMan1983_> Which does seem to define is_dev_usb_generic_driver, just not sure what it's redundant with
<DigitalMan1983_> hmm just had a thought....going to try a CLEAN_LEVEL=make
<DigitalMan1983_> crap....warnings, patch-5.8.5-6.patch and patch-5.8.6-7.patch failed
<agrisis> any thoughts on f2fs vs ext4 for sbc's with microsd cards?
<agrisis> or even xfs?

<lanefu> DigitalMan1983_: are you building -current or -dev kernel
<lanefu> HA! I've solved 1 mystery with odroidn2 display resolution
<lanefu> our boot.ini is wrong
<lanefu> we're using stuff from the 4.9 BSP kernel that isn't used in mainline

<[TheBug]> emOne: maybe in the future do some of your own investigation, however, if you open that page and look at the chrome console you will see someone has posted an image in the page that pulls from http and not https, this causes the page to have mixed content which now Chrome complains about anything and everything that is the least bit insecure, so because someone posted that image that paticular
<[TheBug]> page isn't considered "secure"
<[TheBug]> Mixed Content: The page at 'https://forum.armbian.com/topic/12988-armbian-for-amlogic-s905x3/page/12/#comments' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://www.borgnet.us/~sgrayban/boot_screen.png'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
<emOne> Perhaps it is best to host pictures on the server
<emOne> People could hide trackers or worse inside pictures
<[TheBug]> emOne: is logic failing you? It was something posted by a user not us.. we can't control where someone links to an image..
<emOne> I understand
<emOne> A user could also place malware inside their picture url
<emOne> I am just saying
<emOne> It can be prevented by hosting pictures directly on the server
<[TheBug]> they could also insert some type of javascript in their reply to
<[TheBug]> I am sure if they wanted they could post pages full of useless garbage
<emOne> :(
<[TheBug]> are we just speculating what could happen together?
<[TheBug]> lol
<emOne> hehe

<Manouchehri> does the Orange Pi One have any LEDs that should always be on?
<ArmbianTwitter> @ComputingNl7 (NL7 Computing): armbianmonitor is one of the best tool on Orange Pi, you can check many things with that for example "load", "CPU", "CPU frequency" and so on. ;) In addition you can install RPi-Monitor too. #armbian #Linux #raspberrypi #orangepi #HowTo #Ubuntu #tutorial #technology #computing https://t.co/PjsLKcF6fM (28s ago)
